Best Answer: Operating instructions: Turn the thing on.then wait. There are two switches;the main and the secondary. The main will get the heater only half way. The secondary will make it heat full on. In full on heat mode you can place a small fan blowing across the radiator from about 4 ft away and circulate the warm air.

It can have a thermostat to tell the heater to shut off or power down to a lower setting in order to maintain a given temperature. The timer is just there to shut the thing off. Tell us some more. Upload in progress.

I couldn't find any info online. So I used my last option: I took it apart.
Two screws on the bottom opens the unit's electronics. Two more screws inside to get tol the circuit board.
I was looking for a reset button. There was a tiny white “thing” on the circuit board. I pressed it and reassembled the unit.
That did the trick! Just be neat and put everything back the way it was. Posted on Jan 25, 2010.
I found the manual at this website: Here was the tricky part for me: The round timer dial has red tabs on the outer edge of it. They all should be pushed inward to allow continuous operation. From the manual: Please note when you first use your heater, all the tabs are outwards. You must push in those tabs for the period that you want the heater to work. (If you want to bypass the timer you must push all 96 tabs inward). I hope this helps. Nov 16, 2008.

Double check your slide switch. For timer: set switch to TIMER For thermostat: set switch to ON If slide switch does not operate, then Autocirc may be defective Laing (800) 554-6853 1) Household AC wiring will not affect the timer. You can check your outlet using cheap circuit analyzer from home center. The clock rotates one direction and the pins push small lever down which turns motor on-off.
When the OFF pins pass, the small lever snaps back and the motor turns ON. I cannot immediately find operation manual for the E-1 model. Typical ACT303 auto circ manual says following: 2) If timer controlled operation is desired, set timer and move slide switch to TIMER: Manual says: tabs/pins are outward for ON times. Another sentence says UPWARD, so I don't know which way the pins are set for sure.
So if you want timer ON for 2 hours, you would set 4 consecutive pins outward or upward. ON for 6 hours, set 12 consecutive pins outward or upward. If the timer turns ON in reverse of instructions, then set the pins that way. Autocirc does not make the timer, they buy timer modules from clock-makers like Grasslin, Intermatic, etc.
